Its been quite a week for all of us here at Kloska Headquarters. It feels like everyone wants a turn in the hospital. :)
Please say an extra prayer for Karen. After running an 104 fever yesterday, she had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance last night. Her kids were able to come down to Grandma's for our huge Christmas fest -and Scott spent the night running back and forth to check on her at home. When they finally came home last night (about 11:00pm-ish) she started fainting from dehydration (although she had been drinking water all day) and really low blood pressure. Thank God it happened after they all came home. Ends up she's got pneumonia and they want to keep her for a day or so just to keep an eye on her. Mom and I stayed with the kids after Scott left with the ambulance, but only Santa himself knows what goes in which stockings. We weren't sure what to do, so Brendan was going to write the little kids a note explaining how Santa knew Mom was in the hospital and that he would come when the whole family was together. But even that would have been sad for them. So after Karen was stabilized and doing much better, Scott had to run home and do Santa's work (otherwise there would have been 9 disappointed kids this morning -well, at least a few of them would have a hard time understanding). None of us slept much, but Scott did not get to bed until 4:30 am. So now, the kids are much more calmed down, Scott's home with them this morning and a few of us will be running up to see Karen today. It's surely a Christmas no one will ever forget. Please keep the Swicks, and especially Karen, in your prayers so that she is fully recovered soon.
Thank you, and may Baby Jesus bless you all today! +
