Sherry Stuck - Rest in Peace
Our good Kloska family friend, Sherry Stuck, died yesterday at Elkhart General hospital. She had been battling cancer, an aggressive lymphoma, since her diagnosis in August or September of last year. Her husband Steve and daughter Becky were with her at the end.Margy and I went up there yesterday at about 2:15 p.m. We prayed a Chaplet of Divine Mercy led by Tony and Renee Campanello. This is a devotion that Sherry practiced. Somewhere between 2:30 and 2:45 p.m., the nurses disconnected her life support. After a very touching and beautiful farewell by Steve and Becky, Sherry hung on for about ten to fifteen minutes. At 2:53 p.m., we looked up at the clock and someone said, "She's going to wait until 3:00!" We then returned our attention to her and our prayers for her. At exactly 3:00 p.m., the hour of Divine Mercy, the nurse informed us that her heart had stopped beating. Sherry had often told us that she was offering her suffering as a prayer for the well-being of her family. To understand the significance of Sherry passing away at 3:00 p.m., click on the headline above or the picture of Jesus. It will give you chills.
Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for allowing us to know such a wonderful and holy woman! Eternal Rest grant unto her O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.
In 1962, Irv Kloska and Bonnie Kowrach stood in St. Adalbert's Basilica in Grand Rapids and pledged their lives to each other. More than 40 years and 13 children later, their family has grown to more than 70 members... and counting. With this blog we keep in touch and share our thoughts - much like we have always done around our kitchen table. But like our table, friends are always invited. Welcome!

Praise be to Jesus !
She was a very deep and holy person.
What a beautiful witness of sacrificial love -to give one's life physically for those you love the most. May she intercede for us all.
I didn't know Sherry but she is the second person that I have heard of in the last two weeks who seemed to have "held on" until the Hour of Divine Mercy to die. What a testament to the faith. I pray that my death will be met with the same amount of faith and sacrificial love.
