Can you figure it out?

What do the following people have in common besides the fact that they are all monetarily wealthy and none of them have ever been in my kitchen?

Barry Manilow, Diane Keaton, Lance Armstrong, Rodney Dangerfield, Fidel Castro, Warren Buffet, Jodie Foster, Howard Stern, Randy Newman, Ronald Reagan Jr., Phil Donahue, Jack Nicholson, Annika Sorenstam, Bill Gates.

You might be surprised at the answer...

Today is the Feast of St. Thomas More

Statesman, attorney, husband, father, educator, mentor, Catholic apologist, martyr. Did you know that, contrary to the prevailing views of his time, Thomas More passionately believed that woman should be educated? His daughter was so fluent in Latin that she accidentally embarrassed King Henry VIII in conversation.

Book Recommendation: "Portrait of Courage" by Gerald Wegemer, published by Scepter Press. This is not a difficult read. Of all the books on More I have read, this one is my favorite. It gives the reader a nice idea of who Thomas More was, and leaves you wishing the book were a couple hundred pages longer. My highest recommendation.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Fathers Day Dad (and all dads)! This is a picture of Dad and Mike Kloska. I submit that if it were in black and white and we used photoshop to put a few more strands of hair on Dad's head, it could pass for a picture of Dad and his son, not his grandson.
